| Abstract | Stone Age artifacts recovered from the sites in the Safsaf Sandsheet in eastern Sahara, Egypt, suggests that the nomads who inhabited the area considered the difficulty of transporting stone tools less important than having 'tools suitable for the job at hand.' This observation is based on the Neolithic archaeological record of the region which indicates the recycling of such tools and a consistent stone technology throughout the region. |
